“And accomplish the Hajj and the Umrah for the sake of Allah.” (Al Quran 2:196)
The meaning of the Arabic word
Umrah is “to visit a populated place”. In Islam, Umrah is the journey to the
house of Almighty Allah which can be undertaken at any time of the year.
Both Hajj and Umrah
are deeply spiritual journeys. The purpose and outcome of these journeys are
different, though. Hajj is obligatory on every able Muslim while Umrah is a
voluntary pilgrimage that Muslims undertake, out of love and devotion for
Allah.
Most Muslims opt to
perform Umrah along with Hajj. Otherwise, the preference is to perform the
Umrah in the Holy month of Ramadan since the significance of performing Umrah
in Ramadan is way more than that of performing it in any other month. Holy
Prophet said:
“When the month of Ramadan arrives, go for ‘Umrah,
because `Umrah in Ramadan is like accompanying me on Hajj.”
If you are planning
to perform Umrah this year, the month of Ramadan is almost upon us, and at this
stage, it’s really difficult for you to perform Umrah in Ramadan. If you ask
me, I would suggest you go with Umrah Package from Dubai, or wait till the next year if you want to do it
in Ramadan.
Hotel Rates:
Hotel
rates are relatively low in December. You can get a comfortable room with great
view, at a reasonable price. Imagine standing in your window and seeing the
House of Allah. Is there a sight greater than that?
So
this is it. I think I have given you enough reasons to convince you to perform
the Umrah in December 2018. The weather will be pleasant, there
will be no hassle and the rates will be reasonable. Of course there is no
substitute to performing Umrah in the month of Ramadan, but this is the second
best option.
It’s entirely up to you whether you want to wait another year or do it this
year. If you are doing it this year, December is the best option. Visit some
reputed traveling agency like Al Reayah and select an
Umrah package from Dubai according to your requirement. Have a great journey.
